New 'kids' on the block in Glasgow

The Glasgow branch held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 10th March and made a number of new appointments as branch officers.

James Doherty was re-elected as Chair. James indicated that this would be his last year in the role due to increasing work commitments.

Ruth Allen was appointed to the dual roles of Vice-Chair and Secretary. Ruth has a great deal of trade union experience and will surely be an asset to the branch in her new role.

Another new appointment was Steve Jarvis as Welfare Officer. Steve is well known to many members as a long-standing branch and chapel activist.

There was no change to the positions of Treasurer and Equality Officer, both of which Ann Coltart has filled with distinction.

We wish the new officers well in their positions and hope that they will contribute to further strengthening the branch.
