Europe's plea to unions

A major conference to encourage trades unionists to become involved in the European Social Forum is to be held in London on 29th July.

Speakers including RMT General Secretary, Bob Crow, Maureen O'Mara, outgoing President of NATFHE and Barry Camfield, Assistant General Secretary of the T&G will discuss what the ESF can do, and how trade unionists help.

There will also be contributions from the floor.

The third European Social Forum 2004 will be held in London between the 14th and 17th October and offers a chance for people from around the world to engage in debate, organise action and build networks in support of social justice, peace and human rights.

The first two gatherings in Florence and Paris attracted more than 50,000 participants.
